8. Internship opportunities

EM Microelectronic offers interesting internship and PhD opportunities to motivated students from Swiss and European Engineering Schools, in the fields of :


IC Design Engineering

• RF 2.4 GHz «Low end extension of Bluetooth» :
simplified wireless link of sensors to PC, mobile phone, watches or any portable device ;
• Sensor interface (analog front end) for accelerometer, pressure, optical mouse … ;
• RFID 125 kHz, 13.56 MHz, UHF tag for access control, electronic label, animal tagging, logistic tracking, smart pairing between devices ;
• Low power non volatile memory development (EE and Flash).


Process Engineering

• Development of submicron CMOS processes and devices with NVM options ;
• Fab engineering support on advanced technologies and equipment (DOE, statistical analysis, process recipe development, etc.) ;
• Support to data collection and analysis for production (CAM, process control, etc.).


Main requirements

• Engineering students in physics, microelectronics or related disciplines
• Ability to communicate in English and/or in French
• Team player with good communication skills
• Swiss or European citizenship or valid Swiss work permit mandatory.
