Quality Policy
The mission shall be accomplished within the framework of five underlying principles for continued emphasis on quality that shall guide company objectives, plans and activities.

Information Security Policy
EM is committed to protecting its corporate information as well as all information it receives from its customers so that all parties in the value chain can sustain their competitiveness. EM desires to be highly rated by society through taking appropriate measures against information leak risks, by protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.

Certificates
Quality: EM was certified ISO9001 in March 1992 and QS9000 and VDA6.1 in 1998 (now ISO/TS 16949).
Information Security: EM was certified ISO27001 in March 2010.

Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER)
The EM Social and Environmental Responsibility ("SER") - Principles of Conduct ("Principles") outline standards to ensure that working conditions in EM facilities, and our Supply Chain partners' activities supporting EM's requirements, are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that manufacturing processes utilized by EM and its partners are environmentally responsible.

RoHS, REACH and Green Policy
Various directives were adopted in the past years by the European Union.
The Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment 2002/95/EC; commonly referred to as the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (or RoHS), took effect on
1 July 2006 and restricts the use of six hazardous materials.

Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals is a European Union Regulation (REACH, Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) which addresses the production and use of chemical substances. REACH entered into force in June 2007 with a phased implementation over the next decade.
